Size Guide
Finding your perfect fit at AltBrat is easy. Whether you're into Jirai Kei, gothic, kawaii or Y2K, this quick guide helps you choose the right size with confidence.
Shoes and boots
Our shoes follow Asian sizing, which runs smaller than European sizing. Your usual number is not always the right one here, so please measure before ordering.
- Measure your foot length. Stand on a sheet of paper, heel against a wall, and mark the tip of your longest toe. Measure from the wall to the mark in centimetres.
- Measure at the end of the day, when your feet are at their largest, and measure both feet. Use the larger one.
- Between two sizes, or wearing thick socks? Size up. Many of our styles are worn with knee high or thigh high socks.
We do not publish a single conversion chart, because the makers we work with do not all use the same one and we would rather not guess on your behalf. Send us the product name and your foot length in centimetres and we will tell you exactly which size to take.
How to measure yourself
Grab a soft measuring tape and measure directly on your body (not over thick clothing). Keep the tape snug but not tight.
- Bustaround the fullest part of your chest.
- Waistaround the narrowest part of your waist.
- Hipsaround the fullest part of your hips.
- Lengthfor skirts & dresses, measure from your waist down to where you want the hem to fall.
No measuring tape? Use a piece of string, then lay it against a ruler.

Use this as a general reference. Our pieces come from different makers, so sizing can vary a little. If you are between two sizes, size up. For the exact measurements of a specific piece, email us and we will send them to you.

These are body measurements, not garment measurements. 1 inch = 2.54 cm.
Fit tips
- Our styles tend to run a little smallif you're between two sizes or unsure, we recommend sizing up.
- Many skirts and bottoms have an elastic or adjustable waist for a comfy, flexible fit.
- Love an oversized, layered look? Go one size up.
