What is tenshi kawaii?

Tenshi means angel. The style emerged from Harajuku as a dreamier offshoot of the wider kawaii movement, trading loud primary colours for cream, baby pink and pale blue, and adding angelic detailing everywhere: feathered wings, star charms, lace trim, tiny bows. Where jirai kei carries a shadow, tenshi kawaii stays deliberately light.
